Jeff Grace joins host Devon E. Levins on Morricone Island for an in-depth discussion and listen to his film music. With over 20 feature length film credits to his name, including Jim Mickle's Cold in July, Stake Land and We Are What We Are, Ti West's The House of the Devil and The Innkeepers, Kelly Reichardt's Night Moves and Tze Chun's Cold Comes The Night is quickly becoming the go-to horror fan favorite. The two will be covering a lot of territory in this one hour special including how he got his start working closely with Robert Ruggieri and Howard Shore (the latter on Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings Trilogy and Martin Scorsese's The Gangs of New York) as well as providing orchestration and arrangements for Angelo Badalamenti.

One-hour dramas by Joe Frank air alternate Wednesdays at 4pm (Eastern) on Irwin's program. The episode "Islands," from Joe's Work in Progress series, airs Weds. May 20th. A father and son find themselves lost in a deserted city; Joe chronicles a litany of complaints against his aggravating girlfriend, Ceil; and a strange woman dressed in black brings a mysterious box into Joe’s office, refuses to explain what's in it, and forces him to keep it.

Put The Needle On The Record with Billy Jam
For his latest musically adventurous solo hip-hop album longtime Bay Area emcee Lyrics Born traveled down to New Orleans to collaborate with members of Galactic along with some of the Big Easy's most talented musicians including the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Trombone Shorty, and members of Dumpstaphunk and Rebirth Jazz Band. The Latyrx/Quannum crew member will discuss the new album and share tracks on WFMU this week when, also in the studio with Billy Jam, will be Los Angeles DJ/producer DJ Frane doing a special live set.

Many people know Forté as a guitarist for the likes of Rorschach and Raspberry Bulbs, but he has also released a considerable amount of work outside the realms of Punk and Metal. His impressive resume includes an LP on Schematic in 2003, an LP (as part of Christmas Decorations) on Kranky in 2002, and many other collaborative projects. His new solo electronic LP will be released by Amish Records June 2nd, and this live set will give listeners an idea of what to expect from it.

Calling themselves a "garage chamber" ensemble, The Cellar and Point meld modern classical, downtown jazz and a touch of rock to form their other-worldly music. Drummer/producer Joseph Branciforte and guitarist Christopher Botta are childhood friends who made music together, resulting in this ensemble. Their sound is prog-ish, filled with eccentric electronics, soaring strings and a menacing vibraphone to a driving beat The Cellar and Point's debut, "Ambit," is out on Cuneiform Records, and they visit WFMU to play live.

Joe itemizes the annoying habits of his unreliable and unfaithful girlfriend Lila. He chronicles his adventures traveling around the world, digressing on the convoluted nature of truth in a manner that will have you hungering for lies.

Put The Needle On The Record with Billy Jam
For the final show of the current WFMU radio season Billy Jam will travel back to Northern California to set up the FMU remote broadcast unit in the Alameda studios of producer Dawgisht for a live jam session that, in addition to the veteran Cali beatmaker, will include performances from DJ Six-Kutter, MC Dopestyle, Bas-One, and Dub Esquire.

Roy Loney, former lead vocalist of the fabulous Flamin' Groovies, will join Todd-O-Phonic Todd on Saturday June 6th, 3-6 pm. Roy will show off his impeccable taste by spinning some of his favorite tunes and also perform a few numbers (not necessarily yesterday's). Todd and Roy will also discuss The Bay Area's musical golden age and their mutual passion for The San Francisco Giants.
