In a career that spanned six decades, Brazilian vocalist Elza Soares, who died Thursday at 91, released some three dozen culture-shifting albums, becoming a national icon and international superstar. This tribute will touch on a bit of everything, from her early samba and samba-soul records of the 1960s and '70s to lesser-known gems from the '80s and '90s to her innovative, Grammy-winning work of the 21st century.
