Hello!

We're starting up a new section this month called "Digital Top Ten" to account for releases we only get digital files for. While we still continue to prioritize physical media & the upkeep of our truly one-of-a-kind music library, I wanted to make some space for all the great music that's coming out and only available online or in super small batches. Hope you check it out!

An interview with Tyler Keith
Friday, December 9th, 9pm - Midnight
on Burn It Down! with Nate K.

Singer, songwriter, and musician Tyler Keith has been whipping up a roots-tinged garage-punk frenzy for decades in bands such as the Neckbones, the Preacher's Kids, the Apostles, and Teardrop City. Earlier this year, Keith released his first book, The Mark of Cain. He dropped by Burn It Down! to discuss crime novels, the prison-industrial complex, the prosperity gospel, Harry Crews, the state of book publishing, and more. Tune in as Burn It Down! goes highbrow...just a little.

Jonny Couch live set

on The Evan "Funk" Davies Show

Jersey City’s own Jonny Couch brings his band to WFMU for a live set that was originally scheduled to take place in April of 2020! With those touchpoints you know it’ll be catchy and poppy, so tune in!

The Unmanageable Menagerie
Saturday, December 17th, 9am - 11am

Songs about more animals than you can count, or can you? The listener who submits the most accurate creature count will win an unimpressive prize! More fun than a scurry of squirrels and a gaggle of geese; combined!

Bob Brainen & Pete Tomlinson Present the Music of Fleetwood Mac: The Peter Green & Danny Kirwan Eras: 1967 -1972
Saturday, December 17th, 11am - 2pm
on Bob Brainen's show
(on Give the Drummer Radio stream
Fleetwood Mac had one of the oddest success stories of any band. They started out as a stone blues band led by Peter Green and, with the addition of 18-year-old Danny Kirwan, gradually evolved into a fine pop band. We'll cover the first six albums, stray singles, BBC recordings and rarities. Join us!

Gil A.D. guest hosts!
Sunday, December 18th, 5pm - 6pm
on Radio Row

In a bonus installment of his 8 Ball Radio show Most Absurd Medicine Show (MAMS) East, Gil A.D. will embark on the directionless path of NO HOLDS BARRED sonic experimentalism he has traveled down many times before only to get more lost, confused, perhaps hungry, and, only then (or maybe not), find eternal bliss and gratitude for existence in the form of radio.

Tom Barrett and the Cuts
Monday, December 19th, Noon - 3pm
on Three Chord Monte with Joe Belock

Tom formerly led the shoegaze-y Bar/None band Overlake. On his three solo albums since, the noise has been stripped away to reveal a lo-fi, high-emotion connection to influences like The Long Winters and Lou Barlow. Don't worry, there'll also be plenty of noise with The Cuts in tow! Tom's latest album is "You Are and You've Always Been." His next gig is Dec. 22 at Pet Shop in Jersey City

Spazz Xmas Fiasco!

Nate the K. looks back on some of his favorite LPs, EPs, singles, reissues, and archival releases from a slightly less apocalyptic year than the two that came before it. Tracks will be played in no particular order, because to paraphrase Michael Shelley and Hot Chocolate, respectively, they're all number one hits and everyone's a winner, baby, ...that's the truth
