TOM VERLAINE REMEMBERED

We at WFMU were saddened to learn of the recent passing of Tom Verlaine, and many DJs have been paying tribute to his music in their recent shows. Aside from his work with Television and as a solo artist, Tom was also well-known to WFMU staff as a regular customer at our annual Record Fairs. We like to think that he brought some of the records he found there with him when he guested on Gaylord Fields‘ program in 2006. Rather than discuss his own music, Tom played incredible selections from his own collection and talked about them. You may have seen this show making the rounds online, but here's a link to the archive if you haven't heard it.
