Hello!

Several tributes have taken place on WFMU recently, paying homage to a diverse array of talented musicians who have recently passed away. Notable mentions include Todd-O-Phonic Todd's tribute to Mary Weiss of The Shangri-Las on his latest show, Joe McGasko's Monday morning homage to Marlena Shaw, and Evan "Funk" Davies's current celebration of the music of Frank Farian, Mary Weiss, and Harold C. Black. The recent death of Silent Servant, a.k.a. Juan Mendez, robbed the techno community of one of its most influential DJs and producers. Silent Servant visited WFMU several times, including as a guest DJ on Daniel Blumin‘s show. Mona honored Silent Servant and The Soft Moon on her show this past Friday.
