The Hypos are a new "supergroup" featuring Greg Cartwright (Reigning Sound, Oblivians, Compulsive Gamblers etc.) and Scott McMicken from Dr. Dog. The recent self-titled album is out on Press On Records. They will be doing a short East Coast swing in October, which finds them at Union Pool on 10/11 and Bond Street Basement in Asbury Park on 10/12.

It’s SINGLES GOING SEVENTIES, nothing but 7-inch records released between 1970 and 1979 (inclusive!), with music from different genres living together in peace and harmony, just as the ancient Top 40 Radio gods decreed. It’s part of Singles Going Steady Week, WFMU’s celebration of those little records with the big holes.
