In the film, Foster delivers a deeply interior performance that
explores identity, autonomy, and the invisible emotional lives we carry
beneath carefully constructed exteriors. Thoughtful, restrained, and
provocative, A Private Life continues Foster’s long
tradition of choosing complex, challenging material that invites
audiences into morally and psychologically rich territory.
We’ll talk about what drew her to the project, the themes that resonated
most, and how the film fits into her remarkable career as both an actor
and filmmaker.
